Sara Schaefer is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian, writer, and producer based in New York City. She won two Emmy awards for her work as the Head Blogger for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, was one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch in 2010, and has written for BestWeekEver.tv and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. She has appeared on Vh1, E!, Fuse, and AOL. She co-hosts a podcast called You Had To Be There with comedian Nikki Glaser, and is currently working on a pilot for MTV with Nikki.

Scott Moran is a comedian, writer, producer, designer living in New York City. He produces the popular weekly stand-up show Rubber Bullets in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, which big name comics like Louis CK & Jim Gaffigan have been known to stop by. In 2010 He produced the Castlebraid Comedy Festival in Brooklyn, which quickly became an event Time Out NY declared an essential. Scott is also an up-and-coming stand-up comic who has performed at the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival in Seattle as well as the Sasquatch Music Festival in 2010.

It may seem like a laughable “only in New York” story that Manhattan mother, Nicole Imprescia, is suing her 4-year-old daughter’s untraditional private preschool for failing to prepare her for a private school admissions exam.

But her daughter’s future and ours might be much brighter with a little less conditioning to perform well on tests and more encouragement to discover as they teach in Montessori schools. Ironically, the Montessori educational approach might be the surest route to joining the creative elite, which are so overrepresented by the school’s alumni that one might suspect a Montessori Mafia: Google’s founders Larry Page and Sergei Brin, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, videogame pioneer Will Wright, and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, not to mention Julia Child and rapper Sean “P.Diddy” Combs.
